Casually eating falafel with my cat.
Falafel is to Paris as burritos are to California ... ie, amazingly delicious and easily found all over the city. Apparently, Lenny Kravitz likes L'As du Fallafel, which somehow has made it the most popular spot. But, really, why trust Lenny Kravitz's tastebuds when you can trust mine? After sampling falafel from, like, every option in Paris, there is one clear winner - Mi Va Mi. The pita, to start, is sooooo fluffy, the sauces are perfection, and the actual balls of falafel are moist and wonderful. : )
P.S. - I've been reading Trip Advisor forums for no particuluar reason, and there seems to be a myth out there that you can't eat on the cheap in Paris without reverting to, like, boring chain food. But, I'll have you know that this ginormous falafel only costs 5.50 Euros. Take that, Trip Advisors!
Mi Va Mi, 23 Rue Des Rosiers, Paris 75004 (yes, right across the street from L'As du Falafel.)
