A few weeks ago my dad and I planted a bunch of tulip bulbs, and they're actually growing!
I'm kind of surprised that they're sprouting so quickly, because our Marin weather hasn't exactly felt like Holland lately.
I think (I hope!) the little sprouts around them are California poppies ... we threw about a million poppy seeds, too.
Honestly, San Francisco can be shocking with it's gorgeousness. Like, you fall into daily life and then all of the sudden you remember that it's so beyond beautiful (and freezing cold right now, but that's a really good excuse for way too much decaf coffee).
You know, I feel like the number of cute cars in Paris has seriously gone down since I wrote this post last winter - the Smart Car supply has definitely dwindled, and I've hardly seen any Fiats. But I absolutely loved this adorable little pop of orange in Saint Germain the other day! Maybe I could toodle around Marin in one of those. : )
I didn't read anything about it in the news, but the Seine was crazy high today - the water flooded over the roads, so they had to close a bunch of them. Reminds me of Manzanita in Mill Valley on, like, a daily basis. : )
Meet Miss Kitty ... she showed up in our yard last spring looking super skinny and hungry. She's since moved in, and often spends hours napping on my bed and listening to music (her tail wags during Andy Grammer songs) next to my poodle, Broadway. How cute is this pic of her that my dad sent to me?
